The IMIA Terminology Resource Database includes glossaries, dictionaries, terminology databases, anatomy atlases, nomenclatures, thesauri, lexicons, vocabularies, manuals, encyclopedias and other word-based documents in the fields of medicine and healthcare in the various languages used by IMIA interpreters. The material referenced include books (hardcopy), CDs, web pages and video.
The database can help you quickly decide whether a particular resource will be useful to you. It provides the title and other bibliographic information, the medium, language(s), direction (for bilingual and multilingual resources), what important features are included such as definitions, synonyms, etc. as well as a commentary on the contents of the terminology resource. Internet links or other information to allow you to access the document are included whenever possible.
