Abstract

This boot camp includes note-taking techniques developed by the instructor to enhance accuracy and retention when delivering segments using the consecutive technique. This technique is adapted to Medical Interpreters who would like to improve accuracy in the delivery. Furthermore, this technique includes methods to reduce note taking by implementing abbreviations, symbols and a two dimensional approach to note taking. The concept of single versus multiple domains, connectors among domains, apps to improve accuracy and linking of domains is also presented in this seminar. Participants can expect to deliver segments of up to 150 terms at the end of the boot camp.

Objectives

  • To reduce stress in the acquisition process by taking notes using a twodimensional approach.
  • To accurately deliver segments of up to 150 terms.
