Anna Kuzio is the IMIA Eastern Europe Chapter Chair

Anna Kuzio obtained her PhD on English linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland). She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Zielona Góra (Poland). She teaches Fundamentals of Translation and Interpreting, Linguistic Challenges, Cultural Competence, Business Terminology as well as Medical Translation and Terminology. She is a Member of the Editorial Board of Asian ESP Journal (Scopus), Asian EFL Journal (Scopus) and Journal of Computer-Assisted Linguistic Research (ERIH). She has published more than 40 academic papers. She has broad interpreting and translation experience in a variety of business and medical settings in Poland and overseas. She has been a member of IMIA since 2021. Her activities concentrate on establishing professional standards for medical interpreting in Eastern Europe, promotion of the medical interpreting profession and promoting the efforts for standardisation of certification and practice standards.
