Brief description:
This 40 hour training program offers the necessary skills to become a qualified medical interpreter within University Medical Center (UMC). This course is not a language class; a pre-requisite for this class is fluent Spanish language skills. We administer a pre-assesment of an individuals language skills as well as basic medical terminology before acceptance into the program. This training program is only offered to UMC associates. We administer a pre-test and post-test and upon successful completion, issue certificate.
