Brief description:
The 40 hours Medical Interpreter Course at Asian Pacific Community in Action, developed by Bridging the Gap in Seattle, Washington teaches medical interpretation skills and prepares students to effectively deliver interpreter services in any medical setting. This training course includes in-depth study of national codes of ethics and standard developed by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care, role-playing, interactive group discussions, and video/in-person demonstration to enhance skills development for interpreters. This program is not language specific hence the skills learnt during the training is applicable to a broad medical field.
