Brief description:
This one-day workshop offered by CCC since 2007 is a lively, intense and stimulating day packed with interactive activities. Following an introduction to Greek and Latin roots and affixes, the session looks at medical specialties, six body systems (with some anatomy and physiology), diseases and disorders, symptoms, medical abbreviations and more. The workshop includes a 136-page published book with Spanish translations for the terms and activities. However, the workshop is helpful to interpreters of any language who seek to prepare for medical interpreter certification.
