Target audience:
Registered Medical Assistants, Certified Nurse Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses and other bilingual allied health professionals who provide interpretation services in the course of their job.

Brief description:
This 40 hour training seminar is designed to provide basic interpreter training to allied health professionals who serve as dual-role interpreters in their places of employment. The training seminar will increase participants knowledge of medical terminology in Spanish, build skills in consecutive interpreting and sight translation, and familiarize participants with the most up-to-date medical interpreter policies and protocol.
