MiTio's Train-the-Trainer course authorizes your designated trainers to deliver a Medical Interpreting course through MiTio.

The Train-the-Trainer course provides your organization with a cost-effective and flexible approach for developing an ongoing internal interpreter training program. You ensure your bilingual staff meets the ongoing challenge of providing effective communication to Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients. MiTio's Train-the-Trainer course authorizes your designated trainers to deliver a Medical Interpreting course through MiTio.
The Train-the-Trainer course is conducted in a one week interactive workshop. Each participant has the opportunity to teach a Practice Session module in the course and receive feedback on their knowledge of the subject matter and training techniques.
Prerequisites:
-Trainers have successfully completed a 40 hour Medical Interpreter course
-Trainers have experience in conducting participatory adult education or training programs
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive licensed MiTio courseware to be used in the delivery of the 1 credit hour Medical Interpreting for Healthcare Professionals or a 40 hour (4 credits) Medical Interpreting/Translating Certificate course of your choice.
