Brief description:
The Boston University Program in Interpretation offers one of the highest professional and academic level of interpreter training in New England. The program follows three language tracks – Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish. The program offers three certificates in specialized areas of need: Community, Legal, and Medical interpreting.
In order to be accepted into the program, students must demonstrate a fluency in English and their second language. All students take courses that build on the foundations of language, interpreting, and specialized topics, as well as the ethics involved within the field.
