FAQ's

1. If I come to the conference only on one day, do I have to pay for the full conference?

IMIA: Yes, the conference fees covers the costs per person, which don't change whether you come one, both, or all three days.

2. Can I register on Saturday or Sunday?

IMIA: Yes, registration will be available each day.

3. Is the price per person?

IMIA: Yes

4. Will I get a Certificate of Attendance for participating?

IMIA: Yes. Certificates will be available and given at the exit on the last day of the conference.

5. I would like to hold a spot before the deadline with my credit card and when my cost center cuts the check, it can be mailed directly to you?

IMIA: We technically do not "hold" spots. You may register online and indicate that a check will be submitted from your organization. It will classified as pending until receipt of the check prior to the August 15th deadline.

6. I also need to know to whom the check for both membership and the conference registration should be made out to?

IMIA: Both can be made out to the IIMIA and sent to:
IMIA
750 Washington St
NEMC Box 271
Boston, MA 02111
Please name, address, email address and what exactly the check is for, so that the money may be creditied to the appropriate person and for the appropriate reason.

7. And if possible, can copies of  both registration forms be faxed to me?

IMIA: You can download and print the Membership and Registration Form from the website.

8. If I am a sponsoring organization, does the employee manning my exhibit have to register for the conference?

IMIA: Yes, everyone who attends has to register. All sponsor/exhibitor packets include one conference registration for this purpose.  This is why it is very important to let us know who is attending with you so that we can register that person.

9. If I am a speaker, do I have to register?

IMIA:
No, we give complementary registration to all of our speakers.

10. Are CEU's being offered and is this RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) approved or sponsored?

IMIA
:  Yes, The Massachusetts Registry for the Deaf is "sponsoring" the processing of CEU's for all RID members that attend the conference.  CEU tracking will be done at the conference in compliance with RID attendance and tracking standards.

11. What are the parking arrangements for the conference?

The discounted parking rate at the Hyatt Regency will be $8.00 a day self parking.  Please pull into the lot and take a ticket.  We will have tickets available that will give you the $8.00 discount.  Please keep this ticket or else you will be charged the full $30 for parking.  For the overnight guests, the rate is $15.00, which will be posted to the room bill.

IMIA: We hope that this information is helpful to you. For further questions regarding registration, please email Marzena Laslie at IMIAConference2008@gmail.com
