The IMIA has embarked in an unprecedented comprehensive fundraising plan to support its certification efforts into completion. This includes working with Pioneer Fundraising, Inc. in order to identify at least 50 potential funders and prepare proposals.

Yes, I believe that all persons, regardless of background, have the right to quality health care, and I believe that medical interpreter certification is an important step in ensuring or protecting consumers to minimally competent interpreting services in reducing health disparities due to lack of language access.
